Having completed my induction and having the start date of my final year of education and graduation is looming, my thoughts, feelings and emotions are heightened. I have been thinking a lot about how I’m feeling as I enter 3rd year and near on my graduation. Thought I’d express it all to you all in hopes to re-assure others that could potentially be in a similar (if not same) circumstance to myself that we’re not alone.Continue reading “Thoughts on Going into 3rd Year and Graduation.”
Are you about to start your first year at university? Well not to worry. I have been in your position and I can tell you all about what to expect. I remember all sorts of things running through my head when I was about to move into student halls. Student Halls were a whole different world compared to living at home. The university course itself was completely new to me and I didn’t know anybody when I got there.Continue reading “Advice For 1st Year University Students”
After completing a year at ‘Addict Dance Academy’, I am now set on knowing where I want to be in my training. And it’s here. At Addict! Not university.
I started university in September 2017 at De Montfort University, studying a BA Hons in Dance. Now having received an unconditional offer I was super excited to start training, expecting it to be quite full on and physically intense. Now my previous sentence describes that of full time dance school and not university. Continue reading “How I went from University to Dance School!”
I’m 20! Today is the big day, I’m no longer a teenager.
Obviously it was going to come one day however I never thought it would come this fast. I can’t get over the fact that I am still very immature and childish in most aspects of my life and that will never change (I hope) because it’s boring if not. Continue reading “I’m no longer a Teen?!”
As I said in the last post (2017 Round-up), I promised I’d write a list of my 2018 Resolutions, mainly for me to look back on at the end of the year and as a mini checklist reminder to myself throughout. I also would love to know what your resolutions are, if you have any, if not what you are looking forward to this year. Let’s aim high! 2018 can be ours. Continue reading “2018…Resolutions?”
Being at university has been incredible and I have loved every second of it so far but occasionally I do feel a bit home sick (as expected) so during my “Reading/Enhancement” week I came home for a few days to spend time with my family and friends from up north. Continue reading “Coming Home…”
Freshers. Yes, University Freshers week is what I am talking about, now if I didn’t survive I wouldn’t be writing this now would I? It wasn’t entirely what I was expecting (it was better!) however I loved every minute of it and can’t wait to read back this post in weeks, months, years to come and remember the great memories made in these first two weeks of being at University. Continue reading “Did I survive?”
So when this post goes live I’ll have been at university a total of 13 days, of which non have been unlucky and only 4 of them I’ve had lessons. I have been having so much fun and getting to know a lot of new people (not as scary as I thought it would be) on my course and in my accommodation. I have been comparing what I thought about uni before and now that I’m here and thought I’d write a post about what I’ve learnt so far. This post has gone up today (on a Thursday) despite me saying I’ll be cutting the post schedule down to once a week, just because I thought as well as my usual posts you’ll be seeing, such as Looking after your skin? and a similar post due to come on Monday, it would be nice for you to catch up on what I’m currently doing in life. So without further ado… Continue reading “Things I Learnt at Freshers Week!”
Just a little life update for you!
Many of you know already that my family and I moved house at the end of July this year (2017) to a new house, and we are just about settled in now with all the trouble we went through near the beginning of the move. So, why am I moving again? University! Of course you already know from the previous university posts! Continue reading “Update: Moving Again?”
I leave for university in on Friday (23rd Sept 2017) and I have obviously been shopping A LOT and hunting down for things to take with me either for room decoration or practicality. Places I’ve visited to gather these things are mainly Dunelm and Amazon and Hobbycraft, however I’ll be taking pretty much everything I bought a while back in my Primark & Superdrug Haul.
