Without a shadow of a doubt, this year has been the most unexpected, heart-breaking, toughest 12 months of many peoples lives. I’d be stupid to think it’s been plain sailing for anyone around the world, especially as so many lives have been lost and so many economies and industries have been shattered, not to mention people’s livelihoods. However, as I always do I am going to try shine a ray of positivity on this post with counting down some of the ‘Good’ things that have come out of this year.Continue reading “20 Good Things to come out of 2020.”
As many of us know reading books became a huge habit for lots of us during Lockdown 1.0 and for many of us it became a hobby. Myself was no different. I had read a few books in the past few years but nothing like I was about to endeavour. I’d set myself a 12 book challenge for 2020 and I thought I’d do a blog post to round it off and tell you about the books I’ve loved.Continue reading “Books I’ve Read in 2020.”
This was going to be ‘What I’ve read in Lockdown’ post however I realised I’ve done a lot more than just that. I’m going to share everything I’ve been doing during Lockdown to keep myself entertained. I’ll hopefully not forget anything but I can pre-warn you now, there’s a lot! This was written before the announcement given about the changes coming on the 4th July.Continue reading “How I’ve been entertaining myself in Lockdown”
As lock down/quarantine is starting to lift I have only just fallen in to a routine that I’d still like to try stick to. It’s given me a slight structure to my day. I have been on and off ‘plans’ and ‘routines’ and even ‘timetables’ in the past few weeks or just having a few tasks I want to complete in that day.
As we all are aware, no one seems to know when this lock down/quarantine time will end and I think I’m becoming okay with that. I normally live such a structured life and everything has to go to plan and I’ve always got to be busy, but that isn’t the case anymore. I’ve been enjoying doing a little less and realised I don’t need to be busy 24/7 or ‘switched-on’ 100% of my time.Continue reading “Things I’ll take with me after Quarantine.”
Since this whole lock-down / quarantine event happened, I’ve been putting more time towards things that I’ve been wanting to do for a while or revisiting things I used to do when I had more time.
Reading has been one of these things, I used to read, now when I say this I mean occasionally not every night, unless the book was GOOOOD. But I definitely read more when I was younger (as the majority of people do) so I said to myself I was going to take up reading more. I find setting myself goals in how many books I want to read in what time frame makes me more likely to read too, as well as making a To-Read List. Continue reading “My To – Read List”
Now I have previously done posts on ‘Self-Care’ before and My Self-Care Checklist… However now we are in Lock down/Quarantine, I feel self care is at it’s most important and thought I’d share a collection of things that I do or know of to have a self care session. Continue reading “Taking Care in Lock Down”
As you saw in a previous post (can find here), I have been living without Wifi since we moved in to our new house over a month ago, this is a round up post of all the things I have been up to whilst not being able to use much internet. You’ll have to let me know if there is anything else I could get up to whilst STILL waiting on the company to sort our internet out… Continue reading “Things to do when you’re without WiFi?”
