Small Business Shout-out #3
As we move onto our third small business of the series, it is yet another of my fellow students at dance school called Liv and her business ‘Designs By Liv’
- Introduce yourself and your business.
I launched my business back in Summer 2019 as I wanted a new adventure which would be fun and creative to do on my days off / weekends and also to be an additional finical help alongside completing my degree. I chose to create a business venture that was modern, unique and affordable as I needed to stand out to be successful in this competitive industry.
- What do you sell and at what price point?
I sell a range of handmade products all created using artificial flowers and roses. My colour theme is white, grey and pink as an aesthetically pleasing Instagram is essential for me. My price range is between £12 – £20 with most of my items costing £14. A popular favourite is the grey and pink flower boxes with white roses which are available in three different sizes. I also sell, personalised letters/ numbers, photo frames, hollow love hearts and new product in 2020: make-up brush holders.
- What’s your biggest achievement so far?
My biggest achievement is when reached 1000 followers on Instagram and when I sold my 100th order as it was a milestone, I never thought I would of achieve at the beginning. Having my work recognised on blogs and stories is another achievement. Additionally, gaining regular customers across the UK which keep coming back to purchase items is a recognition of my hard work.
- What’s your aim/goal with your business?
In the future I would love to sell my products in a shop or to wholesalers to reach a wider audience. As a small business I strive to continue to grow and develop my bespoke gifts and carry on creating new products that I love to design.
- How can people find you and buy from you?
To access my business, you can find me on Instagram under the username _designsbyliv where my direct message is always open for questions and support. My turn around is 1-2 weeks depending on the specific product.
“When you support a small business, you’re supporting a dream.”
Thank you as always for reading and please go check out Liv’s work, it’s purely stunning!
