So I went on a little shopping spree, and when I say little I mean I didn’t buy the entire shop, but I definitely had arm ache when leaving. I started in Primark and then went to Superdrug and also called at a local garden centre on my way home. Here’s what I bought:
So when I go into Primark, I never leave with what I went in for but somehow I always spend way more than budgeted, how does that happen? I have just moved house and will be moving to uni in September so was looking for little room accessories to decorate and although I did find some I also found 2 dresses and a jumpsuit.
The first dress is a long, grey and white striped fitted maxi dress with short sleeves. I got it in a size 8 and it is a very snug fit, was reduced to £3! Which I thought was too good to miss, I paired it with a pair of black high top converse and a slouchy bag with sunglasses, perfect for a day in the beer garden.
The second dress is a light blue, short boxy t-shirt style dress with a white-collar. This was also £5 and I bought this in a size 10, it is quite hard to get on as it isn’t as stretchy as I originally thought (which is why when I first tried it on, my makeup imprinted on the collar). I paired this with my timberland high tops, however feel it could also be dressed up with a pair of black heeled boots if you were wanting to go out for a nice meal instead of a day in the park.
Now the jumpsuit was my favourite purchase from Primark, because I was surprised three times by it; once when trying it on, I picked it up in a size 4 in hopes I’d be able to squeeze into it and I did! Then again when trying it on, I originally thought it was a dress (it looked like it on the hanger) when it turned out to be a jumpsuit with culottes, which I loved even more! Then when I went to the till to pay (baring in mind the tag said £5!) it scanned through at £2! 2 single British sterling pounds! For such a beautiful and comfy jumpsuit, I was ecstatic to say the least. I paired it with some brown suede sandals, and again think it could be dressed up with some heels for more of a “going out” occasion.
Also at Primark…… I found that the forever sold out Chip mug from Beauty and The Beast was in stock and on limited availability, so without even considering it, I grabbed it and paid (£5)! It’s super cute and far too rare to use (and have a higher chance of breaking), so it’s now just taken pride of place on my windowsill. Now for what I originally went into Primark to buy, bedroom accessories; I bought 3 small photo holders in three different shapes, all grey with a white marble effect on the front and copper wire stuck out the top to hold the photos. These were £1 each and look so cute and fit lovely together on my windowsill, now just to find some photos to hold..I also grabbed another photo holder but this time in the shape of a black square copper metal grid, with black pegs to hold on your photos or reminders, which I thought was perfect for uni, and a nice price (£6).I then finally left Primark, haha.
I then went over to Zoella’s Jelly and Gelato area outside Superdrug, where her products could be tested, ice cream was being served and you could get a photo in the giant deckchair! I did all of that and then went inside to have a look at buying some of her products. They had a ‘3 for 2’ offer on, that covered all of the Zoella ranges, not just her current one, so of course I took advantage of that and bought 3 of her products; 2 from her new range and one from an old range. My first pick was the body mist “Gelat’eau”. (Originally £8) I tested this outside and it smelt amazing! So sweet and fresh, the packaging for all of her products were adorable too so that definitely helped sway my purchases. The bottle is also a very decent size, I have to admit I was expecting smaller so when I saw it in person for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised!I then chose the item I’d been wanting for a while from her old range, just never got round to buying it, and that is the “Inspire” key ring. (Originally £3) Since first seeing she’d released this, I fell in love. I used to be a keyring hoarders and if you saw my set of keys now you’d still think I am, but this one has had my eyes locked on it for some time now, so I thought whilst taking advantage of the offer, I’d pick this up.The last ‘Zoella’ product I purchased was the body wash “Shower Sauce” (Originally £5). This smelt just as good as the body mist and I knew I’d get loads of use out of it too 🙂 Again, the packaging is so cute and the smell is so beautiful that I was very easily persuaded to buy this.In total I spent £11.70 because of the 3 for 2 deal AND 10% Student Discount! Superdrug Success!
On my way home from my shopping trip I managed to call at a local garden centre in hopes they’d have some cacti and/or succulents that I’ve been wanting to purchase for a long time now, just never seen any I really love! Such a lucky day in which there were plenty for me to choose from. I narrowed it down to 4, all in different colour pots and all very different styles.
These now take pride of place on my windowsill alongside the white marble photo holders I bought earlier from Primark!
So after a long day of shopping and spending all my money, I am super pleased with all my purchases. Let me know what you like in the comments or if you have any of these products too! I’d love to hear what you think!
