‘Loving You’: Happiest moment in your week so far.

Week 13: ‘Happiest moment in your week so far.’

Sorry it’s late….This month has been one hell of a roller-coaster and I’ll explain why in a second, but I know these posts were meant to be a weekly thing and towards the end they’ve become more sporadic but I’ve stopped holding too much pressure to myself this month, I know most if not all of you don’t even care about my posts being ‘on time’ but I used to hold myself quite tightly to the scheduling however I am learning to live more with the flow of life’s ups and down and busy periods.

So for my ‘Happiest moment in your week so far.’ I’m pretty sure I can’t base it off just the one past week so I’ll explain what’s been going on.

Got back to dancing after Christmas, fighting fit and ready to take on the shows that I was performing in. 2 weeks in the theatre; one week purely running and rehearsing the pieces and the next was tech & dress runs and staging everything ready for the shows at the end of the 2nd week. The shows were 1 on Friday, 2 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday, then the Monday was my 22nd birthday.

So my best friend from London was coming up to watch the show and have early celebrations for my birthday, my family were also doing the same but coming down from Leeds, I was running around like a headless chicken organising it all as well as preparing myself for 4 shows in 3 days, so basically a very happy, exciting but stressful time. The first three shows went really well and my friends and family said how much they enjoyed it (my main aim!) and then came Sunday morning.

My best friend, my flatmate and I were all in a car crash.

We are all okay, still suffering some minor injuries but still very much here and healthy. A huge shock and to anyone who has been in one it’s a scary and confusing time, you don’t really know what’s going on, once it’s happened you have long lists of people to contact, things to arrange, companies to speak to, all of which we had to do whilst making sure we were well enough to perform in our final of the 4 shows. Not to mention the endless amounts of auditions coming up within the next week too…

Long story short as I’m not going to share all the details, we’re all lucky to be here and are now getting back to normal, so with regards to this blog post. The happiest moment is a bunch of things (including seeing my friends and family, and my birthday celebrations) but purely just being grateful, grateful for the support we have around us, our health and happiness and for the simple fact that we’re all okay. I can’t really ask for anything more.

What are you grateful for today?

Han xx
