I haven’t been the most active in posting blog posts recently, but I thought I’d do a post that has been a long time in the pipeline. One thing I have been doing more often in my life is journaling, self-reflection and intention-setting. I’ve journaled for many years now on and off, mainly when someone else has introduced me to it or within a workshop or class I have done, however I started journaling more consistently back at the beginning of Lockdown in March 2020 and it is a habit that I said I’d continue long after the pandemic is over. I personally find it harder to talk and speak out loud about things so my way of getting it ‘off my chest’ or ‘out of my head’ is through writing (if you couldn’t tell!).Continue reading “40 Journal Prompts for All Occasions”
So it is now officially autumn season (my favourite season!) and this means I have so many activities and places I want to visit to help myself and others get in the ‘autumnal’ mood. I’d love to hear what your favourite season is and why?
I do love the typical autumn walks with the crunchy leaves and the trees turning orange and brown. I also love the crisp mornings with the dew on the grass and the not so much ‘pitch black’ skies but the darker moodier mornings. Below I’ve complied a list of a few things I want to do/places to go during autumn:
- Visit a Pumpkin Patch.
- Buy and carve/decorate a Pumpkin.
- ‘Cosy-fy’ the flat (fairy lights, candles, throws and cushions).
- Evening walks in the crunchy leaves.
- Movie Nights with hot chocs, candles & Halloween films.
- Visit a Bonfire around Bonfire night.
- Coffee shop dates.
- Celebrate Thanksgiving in some way.
- Go Conker picking.
- Bake cookies / buns / cakes etc.
- Make my own hot drinks (Pumpkin spiced lattes etc).
If there are any other things you think I may have missed off my list please be sure to comment them below or let me know somehow. I am excited to see a lot more autumnal content and all the neutral colour schemes that will be bracing our Instagram feeds soon (if they haven’t already).
If you have a favourite season, let me know what it is and why!
Thanks for reading,
As you may have seen, I have had a huge influx of Guest Posts being published on my blog and I wanted to a blog post rounding all of this up. I’ll be telling you what a guest post is (if you haven’t guessed already), my views and opinions on guest posts and the pros and cons for everyone involved. So lets get to it…Continue reading “Why I love all things about a ‘Guest Post’”
Recently I had my first ever social media detox day (I did do it for 2 days but it doesn’t have the same ring to it). I never realised how much I needed it until I took the plunge. Have you ever been on a Social Media Detox Day? Here’s what it looks like.Continue reading “Taking my First Ever ‘Social Media Detox’ Day!”
After 3 years of writing blog posts I thought it was time to show you all the process I go through when publishing a post. Blog posts aren’t just ‘write a few paragraphs, add a few photos and click publish’ as some may think. They take time and planning. I hope this is an insight into the process and hopefully helps some of the ‘newbie’ bloggers out.Continue reading “My Blog Posts Process”
Recently a close friend of mine shared with me a YouTube video she had watched and in sense thought I’d enjoy it too. This YouTube video was by UnJaded Jade doing her review of her ‘Impossible’ List. I watched it and by no surprise, absolutely loved it. So I did decide to use it for my own inspiration; I’m writing my Impossible List!Continue reading “My ‘Impossible’ List”
Ever like being super nosy and see what people are loving? I love reading people’s favourites lists e.g: YouTube favourites, podcast favourites, book favourites, make-up favourites. The list goes on. So I have made a list of the YouTube channels I am subscribed to (the majority anyway, if I listed all of them we’d be here all day) and watch almost religiously, haha. Here we go..Continue reading “Inside my YouTube Subscriptions”
This was going to be ‘What I’ve read in Lockdown’ post however I realised I’ve done a lot more than just that. I’m going to share everything I’ve been doing during Lockdown to keep myself entertained. I’ll hopefully not forget anything but I can pre-warn you now, there’s a lot! This was written before the announcement given about the changes coming on the 4th July.Continue reading “How I’ve been entertaining myself in Lockdown”
It’s become a thing that you are even team #productive or team #whatdayisit? in lockdown. Now, before I start, I am not saying you have to be productive everyday or at all, this period of time is your time, do with it what you like. I’ve found myself either having super productive days or literally doing naff all, so I thought I’d write this in case it helps anyone else in the same position.Read more
I have been tossing back and forth whether to post something on here or not. As I’ve heard numerous times previously “The only wrong thing to say, is to say nothing at all” and I’d rather get it wrong and learn from that than not try at all, so here goes. If I do get it wrong please don’t scream, shout, degrade or shame me; show me how to improve, show me why I was wrong, show me how to grow and learn.Continue reading “BLM”
